Despite this incident, you're right to be aware of what kind of friends you have, and take a look twice on friend's request. But so far, FB is more a "pleasure tool" than a pro app, nowadays. Too much noise on it, too much players...FB has a long drive to run with "privacy" stuffs and optin projects (ie Beacon), to be considered as a real social pro and serious tool. that's only my advice, and I'm on FB obviously, but to play and have some fun.
